Lunice & The Jealous Guys – ‘Bus Stop Jazz’

Montreal dancefloor donut-doer, Turbo Crunk club night resident, and Diplo-collaborating, Deerhunter-remixing producer Lunice only last week released his tantalising, rap ‘n’ based infused debut, the Stacker Upper EP, on the Scotland-based LuckyMe artist collective, and he’s already hurtling along another tangent, indulging his lifelong passion for music of that warm, vibrant golden-age 90s hip-hop aesthetic in ‘Bus Stop Jazz’ – his debut hip-hop release.

On the other side of the continent, rapidly up and coming San Francisco rap duo The Jealous Guys, whose Ballad and First Sight have thrust their ‘The Love Mixtape’ high up on Bay Area hip-hop fans’ most-anticipated lists, were more than thrilled to create with a musician they’d been listening to daily for the past few months, such was the ubiquity of Lunice’s impeccable Helicopter remix.

One of 2010′s most exciting releases, ‘Bus Stop Jazz’ is the first in a series of collaborations between Lunice and some of your and our favourite rappers – so stay tuned. Also, be on the look out for the official ‘Bus Stop Jazz’ video, which is coming very soon courtesy of director Chasen Paper of 24k Milkcrate.

Lunice & The Jealous Guys – ‘Bus Stop Jazz’ now available on iTunes.
