We had a feeling this would be the case but now it’s just indisputable that Thirst 48 is one of the creeper successes of the year.

While too many Cali artists are trying to mimick Mustard, Ty Dolla, Sage and Iamsu!’s style and sound, Long Beach’s Boogie has refreshingly just stayed in his lane and made the perfect LA soundtrack to marinate to. Production values are high but restrained and his rapping style is all the more tight for its looseness.

And with album highlight ‘Bitter Raps’ now getting an appropriately raw official video, and his releases thus far being so well executed, we can’t wait to see and hear what Boogie will bring in 2015.
