G-Side have hit the ground sprinting this year. From day one of 365, their fourth studio album The One…Cohesive has drawn plaudits from the critical elite on a weekly basis. From the lofty Pitchfork review, to being named The Guardian’s New Band Of The Day, to getting full marks in Norway’s Oslopuls, to getting full marks in Sweden’s top newspaper, to being dubbed one of SPIN’s Best New Artists for February, and many, many more (not to mention getting playlisted on Kiss FM), those sounds that sound like John Turner Jr’s art looks have resonated deeply across the world.

For the first video from the album, which Sam Hockley-Smith rightly mentioned in the same breath as ‘Triumph’, director Jurian Isabelle paints an altogether different picture of a song lifted from within the Block Beattaz and Turner Jr’s audio-visual masterpiece. And G-Side, as ever, remain firmly in their own lane with the most exalted spectators they could hope for.
