Timing is everything for Gucci Mane. The man who looks and sounds more top-3 than top-10 (as ranked by MTV) dropped three Cold War-themed mixtapes (Gucciamerica, Great Burrrrtain and Burrrr Russia) of mostly new, all very much excellent material on Saturday to stake his claim (as if he hadn’t done so repeatedly for the last couple of years) as the king of this trap shit, and, we posit, soften the blow of what hardcore fans might feel is stepping over the line he so gracefully treaded with his recent Drake collabos on this new internationally radio-ready Usher song. Whenever Polow Tha Don’s involved though, we’re on board. So enjoy this and peep some highlights from the Cold War mixtape series below. ‘The State Vs Radric Davis’ drops December 8th. Gucccccci!!!!
