As soon as we saw the name Hongry featured on a couple of tracks on D-Lo’s excellent DJ Fresh-helmed The Tonite Show album we were intrigued. When we heard him rap, it was a wrap. He wasn’t just hungry, he was hongry as Rob accurately explained way back in April 2009 when it dropped. This name and word has since permeated throughout the Southern Hospitality lexicon, so while we haven’t been able to enjoy any solo material from the man, he’s been a big part of our collective lives, whether as a feature on tracks from the Rude Boy Mafia and more recently alongside Pep Love on Young Gully’s winning 93 Till Infinity Remix, or just in day-to-day conversation. So, Hongry wasn’t far off when he told me earlier this evening that he could become a household name.

Now, however, we’re one step closer to that reality, with this white truffle-strong solo submission from Hongry, which is taken off his upcoming ‘Seek N Destroy’ mixtape. Enjoy.
