The feeling is so tangible we’re forced to reiterate how thriving the UK scene is at this moment in time. Big releases from JME, Devlin and Yasmin, Tinie Tempah, P-Money, the Newham Generals and of course the triptych of dubstep royalty, Magnetic Man and their queen Katy B (whose voice sounds like what life feels like living in London), all give hope to a brimming underground of viciously raw talent from the south-east to the Midlands that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but more importantly that there is a tunnel.

Filmed at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios, this live video for Benga, Skream, Artwork and Katy’s chart-climbing Perfect Stranger (which you can, should and must cop) kind of caps it all off. It’s dubstep live at the BBC with violins. And it’s as epic as that sounds.
