It’s been a momentous year for Lunice and The Jealous Guys. Just under two weeks into 2011 and Montreal’s most animated dancer turned most animated dancing producer had the number three ranked release on the iTunes electronic chart with his brilliantly based, hella bassy Stacker Upper EP.
San Francisco’s The Jealous Guys, meanwhile, were featured on XXL, The Fader and a several thousand miles of online real estate from SF to MTL to LDN and back for their collaboration with the supremely signable London duo Solomon & Finder on Love You So.
And all this not long after coming together for Bus Stop Jazz, a infectiously fresh, atmospheric take on ‘golden era’ hip-hop, which is brought to life here in a perfectly unmodern nod to the 90s by director Chasen Paper. Artwork by KAZU.
